Resumo
"O Atheneu (Chronica de Saudades)" by Raul Pompéia is a semi-autobiographical novel recounting the experiences of Sérgio, an eleven-year-old boy sent to the prestigious Atheneu boarding school in Rio de Janeiro. Through Sérgio’s eyes, the narrative exposes the harsh realities of school life, marked by bullying, rivalry, and the oppressive atmosphere under the hypocritical director, Aristarco.
