Résumé
"Un drame au Labrador" by Vinceslas-Eugène Dick is a novel about the Labarou family, who live on the desolate coast of Labrador after the patriarch, Jean Labarou, flees French justice for a murder he committed.
The story focuses on the adventures of his son, Arthur, and his cousin, Gaspard, and the young Indigenous boy, Wapwi, whom they befriend.
A central conflict develops when Gaspard's jealousy of Arthur's relationship with Suzanne, a young woman from a neighboring family, leads him to attempt to murder Arthur by sabotaging a rope bridge.
