Résumé
The story follows the adventures of Alonso Quijano, a Spanish nobleman who has read so many chivalric romances that he goes mad and decides to become a knight-errant named Don Quixote.
With his loyal squire, Sancho Panza, he embarks on a series of fantastical and often comical adventures, which he perceives as heroic quests but are, in reality, mundane situations.
A central theme is the clash between idealism and reality, with Don Quixote's delusions leading to misunderstandings and humorous encounters, such as fighting windmills he believes are giants.
