Summary
Set in a distant future (the year 2137), The Lost Continent imagines a world where the Eastern Hemisphere—Europe, Africa, and parts of Asia—has been cut off from the Americas for over two centuries following the devastation of the Great War (a fictional extension of World War I).
The Western Hemisphere, led by the Pan-American Federation, has prospered and sealed its borders, outlawing any contact with the “Old World.”
Enter Lieutenant Jefferson Turck, a brave officer in the Pan-American Navy.
When his ship accidentally crosses the forbidden 30th meridian, Turck becomes the first Westerner in generations to set foot in Europe.
What he finds is shocking: Europe has regressed into barbarism, with once-great nations now reduced to tribal warfare and savagery.
Among the ruins, Turck rescues and falls in love with Victory, a proud and fiery woman descended from the ancient English aristocracy.
Together, they face primitive warriors, wild beasts, and the remnants of fallen empires as they attempt to survive—and perhaps revive—the spark of civilization.
