Summary
Dracula is a classic Gothic horror novel that introduced the iconic character of Count Dracula, a centuries-old vampire from Transylvania who travels to England in search of new blood and to spread the undead curse.
Told through a series of diary entries, letters, newspaper articles, and ship logs, the story begins with Jonathan Harker, a solicitor who visits Dracula’s castle for a business transaction, only to become a prisoner and witness to the Count’s terrifying nature.
As Dracula moves to England, he begins to prey on Lucy Westenra, whose mysterious illness alarms her friends.
Led by Professor Van Helsing, a group including Jonathan, his fiancée Mina, Lucy’s suitor Arthur Holmwood, and others band together to hunt down Dracula and stop his evil before it spreads.
